Holly operates across Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, West Midlands, Somerset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. In certain circumstances, she is able to travel further afield. Get in touch to find out if she covers your area.
Benefits
Find out if dyslexia is the correct label for your child or teenager and get a sense of where to go from here.
- Quick
- Low-cost
- Get answers from a fully-qualified dyslexia expert
- A useful jumping-off point if dyslexia is a concern
This is an option popular with parents concerned about their child. It may give you enough confidence to insist on further assessment by a school or college.
What it involves
An Initial Dyslexia Screening typically takes between an hour and an hour-and-a-half, which includes both the assessment and immediate detailed verbal feedback from Holly. The screening can be longer, if your child’s needs are very complicated.
The screening involves specialised testing of the same type used during a diagnostic assessment, but in an abbreviated form. (It is NOT simply a generic computer screener.)
This is an invaluable opportunity to ask questions and get real answers from a qualified dyslexia expert.
Cost
An Initial Dyslexia Screening costs £299.
For an extra £99, the test results can be tabulated and emailed to you, to share with school or college.
Need an official diagnosis?
If you require an official dyslexia diagnosis, to get allowances in exams or the classroom, you will need a full Dyslexia Assessment. Options are available for children under 16 and teenagers 16-18.
For clients who’ve already undertaken an Initial Dyslexia Screening, Holly can offer a Dyslexia Assessment (within the next couple of months) for a reduced rate. Contact her to discuss this further.
Need further guidance or tutoring?
Following the tests of an Initial Dyslexia Screening, Holly can use the findings to create a tailored plan of action for your child, or provide bespoke one-to-one tutoring sessions. Find out more on the Further Guidance page.
